Waxing Tips and Tricks

• Refrain from using chemical exfoliates 72hrs before and after, i.e. glycolic/salicylic acids and all forms of Retinoids. (Clients using prescription acne medication may not qualify for waxing services.)

• Keep skin free from body lotion, deodorant, and makeup depending on the area being waxed before and after, doing so helps alleviate adverse reactions. (This is especially true for facial waxing.)

• Avoiding hot baths, saunas, tanning beds and sun exposure this will maintain the integrity of the skin.

• If you are sensitive to pain, taking a supplement for pain management is recommended an hour before your appointment

• Bikini areas can be especially painful if the hair is long or has never been trimmed; for sanitary and licensing reasons, I am not equipped with hair trimmers.
